Founded by New York–based green consultant Jennifer Prescott, green design GOODS is devoted to environmentally conscious living.
green design GOODS is an extension of Jennifer’s sustainable-living blog—jennyGreenjeans.com. With a zero-waste goal always in mind, green design GOODS’ mission is to offer everyday, non-toxic, eco-friendly alternatives for those aspiring to a more environmentally responsible lifestyle.
Jennifer’s past work as a Market Editor who sourced and reviewed products for shelter magazines such as Real Simple and Organic Style gives her more than two decades of insight into the ever-expanding Green product market. As a Green Consultant and Sustainable Education consultant, Jennifer frequently presents to groups of all ages, encouraging a greater understanding of how our consumptive behavior, product choices, and waste affect the environment.
Our promise at green design GOODS
We promise to seek out and offer a selection of the best in sustainable and ethical product options. We favor Fair Trade products, products that “give back,” and B Corp certified companies, and we are committed to the most eco-responsible packaging and shipping policies. We also utilize upcycled boxes to skip one step of the recycling process, and all other packaging is 100% recyclable and biodegradable, meaning once the shipping label is removed, green design GOODS’ packaging is fully compostable—from packing fill to water-based adhesive and printed material.

beeswax candles
When it comes to candles we can only recommend 100% natural beeswax.
Beeswax candles are considered an air purifier since they increase the ratio of negative ions to positive ions in the environment, which is necessary to have clean air. Beeswax releases negative ions in much the same way that air purifying systems do by attaching to positive ion particles—pollen, dust, dirt, mold, and VOCs—causing them to fall to the ground.
